ok... so what does everyone think about the remake Dawn of the Dead? I am unsure of how its going to turn out. i would love to hear what you all have to say about. i am having mixed feelings about a perfect Romero flick being turned into the "modern day" horror movie. i would love to see all the horror freaks come out of the woodwork for this one... c'mon... i know your all lurking somewhere... muwahh

Oh, yeah, horror baby. Heh, corny as it seems, I have always thought the Halloween series RULED. I suppose it's the music by John Carpenter ... very dramatic and fitting to the films. The Shining is a fav, too. Oh, and the Phantasm series. Very bizarre, but I love it. Let's do the Time Warp again... LOL

ok i guess I could come out of the woodwork here. Halloween 1-2 and 4-5 The icon of Horror Of course the classic "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and "The exorcist" paved the way. Too HELL with sequels. Nightmare On Elm Street (the original) Brilliant and twisted . There was alot of great, original horror movies in the late 70s and the 80s .. Then I dont have a clue what happened in the 90's .. This decade is promising with movies such as "House of 1000 corpses" "freddy Vs Jason" etc. Lets hope Dawn Of the Dead is as good it could be if done right. But all true horror fans know that these movie studios wouldnt throw a cup of water on the fans if they were on fire. Its all about $$$ not the fans. P.s. I highly Recomend everyone out there rent Hellraiser : Inferno even if you hated all the other Hellraiser movies. This one is brilliant and has an ingenious storyline and acting to boot. If you can forget all the other cheesy hellraiser sequals this one is a classic on its own.

John Carpenter had planned on Halloween being a movie series of diffrent stories based on the holiday. Then when Halloween 3 : Season Of THe Witch" Bombed, the Studio decided to bring Michael Myers back. John Carpenter wanted nothing to do with it so he parted ways with the series. Im actually glad he did because Halloween 4 i.m.o. turned out to be the best Halloween yet. Danielle Harris was so believable as the frightened little neice of Michael Myers . This movie had some Truly eerie moments. Part 5 had some major flaws but was scary to me as a kid. The original plan was that at the end of Halloween 4 The neice of Michael Myers (the little girl in the clown costume) was supposed to take over as the killer in the upcoming sequals. I think this would have been a great idea. They could have finally laid Michael Myers to rest and started out fresh. I personally think the image of the little girl in the clown costume standing at the top of the stairs with the bloody knife was one of the scariest moments for me as a kid. So i think they should of went down this road, but at the time they thought it was to risky since they already made a mistake with halloween 3 they didnt want to take another big risk. So what came of it was 3 of the worst sequals in the history of american cinema . Halloween 6 , H20, and The Shockingly retarded Halloween : Resurection which featured Michael Myers backing down from Busta rymes then Busta roundhouse kicking him through a window and witty catchprhases such as "Trick or Treat Mothafucka" there is Halloween 9 coming out next fall. Im almost afraid to even watch it. If anyones interested I have a Horror website online that me and Serena created. It hasnt been updated in awhile but heres the link if anyone wants to check it out www.moviepsychos.com p.s. Tiger, I also believe Stanley Kubricks version of the Shining was on of the best movies ever made. "Heres Johny"!!

Absolutely. Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall were prime choices for Jack and Wendy Torrance. The Overlook bartender was awesome in his role, as well as Scatman Crothers. The tall (and very expansive) hedge/maze makes a fantastic visual impression, but the old lady in the bathtub still scares the hell out of me. All work and no play makes Johnny a dull boy. Yikes.
