I cant believe anyone actually condones this Vile act of murder. Is it so hard to just have the kid and give it up for adoption if you cant raise it yourself? I guess these woman dont want the stretch marks. I puke on pro abortion. What is everyone elses viewpoint on the subject?

Abortion is very, very rarely an act of murder, by definition.
Nevertheless, when the procedure is successful, a human life is killed.
Far be it an ambiguity in ethics, the whole notion of abortion is profoundly tragic.

Abortion is wrong, wrong, wrong! God created all life, and it's like a slap in His face to destroy it.

"Abortion is very, very rarely an act of murder, by definition". I dont quite understand what your saying. By whos definition ? Murder, by definition, is an act of unlawful killing. It is unnecessary to divert from the crux of the issue by including the connotation of an unlawful act (whose laws?), so it has always been the choice of scholars to use the word, kill, to sustain focus and credibility in a serious debate with the pro-choice crowd. In my own sphere of ethics, abortion is indeed a murderous act. However, the U.S. Supreme Court carefully defines abortion within the bounds of lawful killing. Murder is unlawful. Hence, you must choose your words with care in any debate. The U.S. Supreme Court's decision on abortion has led to the most tragic episode of killing in our history. As with slavery, the practice must be abolished and looked back upon with disgust by future generations if there is any hope for our nation.

A new federal law is in the works. If a pregnant woman is killed and her unborn child is killed then it will be considered double homicide. I have a feeling this is the beginning of the end for abortion.

Any and every woman reserves the right to choose.

A woman has the right to choose? They have that right to kill a baby? They spread their legs for a guy and they have that right to kill the baby they helped create? Wrong. If your stupid enough to have sex outside of marriage and you get pregnant deal with it. I am sick of women blaming the men too. If you spread em you can get any man to screw ya. Grow up.

Shaggy, thanks so much for that very eloquent and articulate commentary.
And thank you for the very positive affirmation that abortion can be a very wise decision.
